White to slightly yellow crystal or crystalline powder, odorless or slightly peculiar smell, melting point 196-200℃, non-hygroscopic. Slightly soluble in water, hardly soluble in ethanol and chloroform. It is stable in air, more stable in neutral solution than acidic solution (pH=4.0), and more stable than thiamine hydrochloride.
This product is available in food grade, feed grade, and pharmaceutical grade. Food fortification is the same as thiamine hydrochloride. It is used less and is used more in feed.
