It absorbs heat when dissolved in water, so when consumed in solid form, it will produce a pleasant cooling sensation in the mouth. The PH of 10% aqueous solution is 5.0-7.0.

Description

White crystalline granules or powder, sweet in taste, equivalent to sucrose in sweetness, very soluble in water (about 160g/100ml), slightly soluble in ethanol and methanol, melting point 91-96°C, boiling point 216°C, calorific value 16.72 KJ/g (same as glucose).

Main function

1. Xylitol has anti-caries effect.

2. Xylitol can be used as a therapeutic agent, nutritional agent and optimal sweetener for diabetics; it is an ideal drug for treating diabetes and an ideal sweet food for people with abnormal sugar metabolism.

3. Xylitol can improve liver function.

4. Xylitol has an anti-ketone body effect and is an ideal anti-ketone body drug for patients with diabetes and starvation ketosis;
